Horses Protest Tree Murder

Someone directed me to this short documentary that might have been just being the record of the usual taking down of ancient trees to build a new road. But then wild horses appear. Very moving.

There's a great documentary about ARPAnet at google that all the net geeks are watching. I love how visionary the founders of the Net were, especially how they got it at the very beginning that the Net is about society, not technology. More...

The Other Bay View School

A friend of mine has a son at Bayview school, and I mentioned to her that the modern school buildings replaced an earlier one. She had no idea. Here's a postcard view of the Bay View school that stood at Bay and Mission for nearly 50 years. It was demolished in 1958 and the site is now a parking lot behind a sound wall. More...

New Beginning for the Hidden Court
