UCSC's Entrance
Yesterday, I noticed that the UC Santa Cruz sign at the base of campus looked spruced up. It just didn't get a make-over, it is an entirely new block of wood. UCSC posted an interesting story and a video.

On my first day in Dublin, we walked from our house in Phibsborough ("pibs-bro") down to Temple Bar and Trinity. I didn't want to go to museums, but needed to walk around in the sun. I didn't realize I wouldn't see any sun for the rest of the week. When we eventually had a sunny day, our friend texted us: "The sun is splitting rocks here." "How was the weather?" people asked me when I returned home. "Like Portland. " Locals complained about it, but I didn't mind. Any day that I don't need to wear sunscreen is a good day for me. Farmers' Market Melee
Oh, I just love to read stories like this, especially descriptions of complaints about the farmers' market that include "playing drums with little skill." Is there truly an ordinance against that. I wish.

What to do, what to do?
I've already reached my limit with electoral politics, I mean, talking about the Republican ticket. The Democrats need to beat the voting machines, and the only way they can do that is to register more voters and turn out the vote in every precinct.
