I don't want to say outloud that Joss Whedon deserves to have Firefly cancelled because of how he abandoned Buffy, but I do think it. Buffy is just so horrible this year.
Not only are the metaphysics silly and Just Like Any Other Show, but the so ordinary and predictable dialogue--it just makes me cry, almost.
Has anything this year approached this from "Prophecy Girl"?
"You're dead."
"I may be dead, but I'm still pretty. That's more than I can say for you."
"You were supposed to die. It was written."
"What can I say? I flunked the written."
But I watch it, anyway. Every week. Can't wait for sweeps. I'm sure this time, its going to be great.
